When I was diagnosed last June with breast cancer, I immediately wanted to HELP. Help raise money, help find a cure, help do something. I am not the type of person that likes to sit down and accept the help. A wise friend, who also is a cancer survivor told me to slow my roll and accept the help and support because I will need it during my cancer journey. So I settled on, when I’m cancer free I’m going to participate in the 2024 Over The Edge For Victory Event and rappel down 16 stories on Friday, September 6, 2024 to raise money for The Victory Center!
The Victory Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing non-medical services to cancer patients, cancer survivors, and their caregivers. During my treatments, I received FREE services along with a FREE wig from The Victory Center in case my cold capping didn’t work (a device I wore to reduce hair loss caused by chemotherapy). The Victory Center and their services were a godsend during my cancer journey and I’m grateful for their programs and support!
Please consider making a donation to help fund FREE programs and services for newly diagnosed cancer patients, cancer survivors and their caregivers. 100% of funds raised will stay in our community.
