Over the Edge Rappeler Bio
Why did you decide to rappel today? Today is particularly meaningful for me, so the date stood out. I am passionate about supporting the community and deeply admire everything the Victory Center does for cancer patients. Participating in this event is a fantastic way to contribute to such a worthy cause.
How has cancer impacted your life or the lives of your loved ones? From a young age, I experienced the profound impact of cancer when my best friend lost her mother to the disease. Throughout my life, many close friends have faced similar battles. Watching a friend currently fighting cancer reinforces my belief in the strength of those who overcome it—they are true badasses.
Who is here cheering you on today? How did they help you prepare? I'm hopeful to see familiar faces in the crowd, supporting me. Everyone has been incredibly encouraging throughout this fundraising effort, bolstering my courage and reminding me of the importance of today’s challenge.
If this is your first time rappelling, what are you most excited or nervous about? I'm excited to demonstrate to my daughters that anything is possible and the importance of living fearlessly. While I've had my share of nerves about various aspects, I'm choosing to release those fears and trust the process.
If you could have any celebrity rappel with you today, who would it be? I would choose Princess Diana for her enduring grace and strength.
If you could rappel down any famous building around the world, which one would it be? I’d choose the iconic Dancing House for its unique architecture and stunning visuals.
What would you say to someone considering participating in this event next year? What advice or encouragement do you offer? Focus on the bigger picture—the message you're spreading and the people you're helping far outweigh any fears. Life is about seizing every moment, so why not spend it doing something impactful? Dive in and live fully!
