It's this time again, I will be rappelling 16 stories down the Toledo Edison Building to raise funds and awareness for The Victory Center!
I was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer September 2016. While in the hospital recovery a nurse gave me the information about The Victory Center. Not knowing it then, but it turned out to be the best thing that happened to me during that time. The Victory Center welcomed me with open arms and with their programs. They helped me overcome my anxiety and put me in touch with survivors that knew exactly what I was going through. The programs they offer were detrimental in my healing process, not only physically but spiritually as well. Being diagnosed with Cancer was a life changing event for me. However if something "good" had to come out of being diagnosed, it was meeting all the wonderful people I have and the "friends" I currently have because of it. I now consider The Victory Center part of my family. Please consider donating to my cause. All donations go directly to the Victory Center. Thank you Wendy
