AmysArmy

Thank you for supporting my team - Amy’s Army - as we rappel down a 16-story building to raise money for The Victory Center!!  For every $1,000 we raise, another member of my team will get to rappel down the building with me!  Let me introduce myself. My name is Amy Remer. I was diagnosed with stage 3 myxofibrosarcoma in 2017 in my left upper arm. After chemotherapy, surgery, & radiation, I was declared cancer-free. In 2019, my cancer came back in my left armpit. After another surgery & more radiation, I was again declared cancer-free. In 2020, the cancer came back in both areas & after much discussion with medical professionals, we determined that a forequarter amputation was my best chance at beating this cancer once & for all. On September 8, 2020, I had my entire arm, shoulder, scapula, & most of my clavicle amputated.  The Victory Center has supported me every step of the way & I can’t thank them enough!  They provide a place of relaxation & support like no other!  Since my amputation, I am trying to live life to the fullest, and rappelling down a building seems fitting for my next adventure!  Will you consider making a donation & supporting me on this adventure?!?  Your donation will help provide FREE services to cancer patients & survivors at The Victory Center!!  Thank you so much!!
