Those of you who know me already know, but here's a short version of my story - On August 15th, 2021 I was diagnosed with B-ALL (B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia). And that day also marked 22 weeks into my pregnancy (our second daughter). I began my treatment at U of M right away, working very closely with the oncology and maternal fetal medicine teams. I was induced on October 25th, 2021 then continued with some heavier treatments, followed by a stem cell transplant on January 20th, 2022. Cut to today... the "baby" is now a healthy, thriving and very ornery 2 1/2 year old and I am cancer free. I still receive medical care at the U of M for the side effects from the stem cell transplant. It hasn't always been easy. It's been a roller coaster. But I am here to tell about it.

That being said, along my journey I was introduced to The Victory Center (TVC). They have so many different services to offer to cancer patients, survivors and their families/caregivers. I have utilized so many classes and benefited from each and every one. The blood cancer support group has especially been special to me. To say that TVC and the family I have created there has helped me to "heal" is an understatement. They have been an integral part of my recovery and continued recovery. So....

I will be rappelling 16 stories on Friday, September 6, 2024 to raise funds and awareness for The Victory Center!

Please consider making a donation to help fund FREE programs and services for newly diagnosed cancer patients, cancer survivors and their caregivers. Yes, that is right, ALL PROGRAMS AT TVC ARE FREE! So please, please, please donate.

100% of funds raised will stay in our community.

Thank you!!!!!! <3 Jen
