Last year, I rappelled down a 225-foot building in downtown Toledo for Over The Edge, combining my love of extreme sports with a powerful cause. Some people called me "crazy" (clinical term in my biz!). I just called it “a good day at the office.”

But this year, it’s different. Since then, a woman very dear to me was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Supporting her has been one of the hardest challenges I’ve ever faced. It puts things into perspective: while rappelling off a skyscraper is extreme, the real extreme sport is battling cancer every day.

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Health Connections in Sylvania, Ohio, I know firsthand how important resilience and community support are in life’s toughest moments. That’s why I’m going over the edge again—to raise awareness, honor those in the fight, and make sure no one faces this journey alone.

So if you’ve ever wanted to see me dangle (OR FALL!) off a building, now’s your chance to cheer me on. More importantly, your support helps push back against cancer—rope by rope, grip by grip, and heart to heart.
