Beth Wyckoff

I have pledged to go Over the Edge
for Victory to raise funds and awareness for The Victory Center. On either
September 5 or 6, 2025, I will stand atop the ProMedica Plaza building in
downtown Toledo and rappel 16 stories to the ground!
While I am not asking you to join
me in rappelling the building, I am asking your help by making a contribution
toward my commitment to raise a minimum of $1000 for this nonprofit that does
so much for those with cancer in our community in Northwest Ohio.
As some of you may know, I am a
breast cancer survivor of 16 years. I
personally used The Victory Center's services; it was a very important part of
my recovery. The Victory Center's services bolstered my self-esteem and gave me
the courage to push through the difficult days. I count my blessings
daily, and would like to give newly diagnosed cancer patients, other cancer
survivors, and their caregivers the ability to make use of their free services.
In addition, I am a lifetime member
of Girl Scouting and have an intense love of outdoor adventure. Two years ago, I was a summer camp counselor
for the Cliff Hangers Unit which provided girls the opportunity to go rock
climbing and repelling in Red River Gorge. I became a fan of climbing and quickly
discovered the new climbing gym in Toledo. I am considered the "Most Seasoned
Member" of Adventus Climbing (because of my age) and climb on a regular
basis. I am challenging myself further
by participating in this Over the Edge for Victory event, I honor the local
brave men and women battling cancer on a daily basis.
By supporting my participation, you
will be helping many going through the hardest time in their lives. The counseling, support groups, exercise
classes, massages, and more are all available free of charge. No gift is too small; please consider helping
me reach my personal fund-raising goal of $1000. Keep in mind, 100% of the
funds raised will stay in our local community.
