I have pledged to go to Over the Edge for Victory again this year to raise funds and awareness for the Victory Center.  The Victory Center was an important part of my life during recovery from breast cancer. The Victory Center really helped me.  Also, I like to have FUN and be adventurous. It was an exciting experience to rappel 16 stories to the ground and I want to do it again.  On Thursday, September 3, 2026 or Friday, September 4, 2026 I will stand atop the ProMedica Plaza building in downtown Toledo to raise funds and awareness for The Victory Center!

I am asking for your help by making a contribution toward my commitment to raise a minimum of $1500 for this nonprofit that does so much for those with cancer in our community in Northwest Ohio.

I am a breast cancer survivor of 17 years.  I personally used The Victory Center's services.  The Victory Center's services bolstered my self-esteem and gave me the courage to push through the difficult days.  I count my blessings every day, and would like to give newly diagnosed cancer patients, other cancer survivors, and their caregivers the ability to make use of the Victory Center’s free services.

I am a lifetime member of Girl Scouting and have an intense love of outdoor adventure.  Three years ago, I was a summer camp counselor for the Cliff Hangers Unit which provided girls the opportunity to go rock climbing and repelling in Red River Gorge.  I became a fan of climbing and quickly discovered the climbing gym in Toledo.  Climbing is for everyone with or without experience, young or old.  It is fun and great exercise.  I am considered the "Most Seasoned Member" of Adventus Climbing and I climb on a regular basis.  If you are over fifty you can join me and the” Alternative Rockers 50 and Over Climb”.  Check out the Adventus Climbing website.

I am participating in this Over the Edge for Victory event to honor and support the local brave women and men battling cancer.  By supporting my participation, you will be helping many going through the hardest time in their lives.  Please consider making a donation to help fund FREE programs and services for newly diagnosed cancer patients, cancer survivors and their caregivers.

Keep in mind, 100% of the funds raised will stay in our local community.  No gift is too small, please consider helping me reach my personal fund-raising goal of $1500.
