Two years ago when I signed up to participate in the Over the Edge for Victory event (even though I am afraid of heights), I wanted to do my part to help those who have been diagnosed with cancer - and their families. I wanted to support the Victory Center and share information on the free services that they provide to patients and their families; for example, therapy, wigs, massages, art classes, and SO much more.
When diagnosed with cancer, individuals have no choice but to go over their edge, face their fears, and fight cancer. I did have a choice and I choose ( and continue to choose ) to face my fear of heights, volunteer, and go "Over the Edge".
I have been uplifted and inspired by the people I have met over the past two years. Acquaintances have become friends and friends have become Family and my life has been forever changed for the better because of my Victory Center tribe.
With your help, i hope to be rappelling16 stories on September 9th.
